Privacy Policy

    Short version: MilesPro tracks your drives to generate mileage reports for tax deductions or reimbursement. We store your trip data on your device and sync it to our cloud. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
  

1. Who we are

MilesPro is operated by TEKBH, Switzerland. References to "we", "us", or "our" mean TEKBH. You can reach us at hbh@tekbh.com.

    Background location: MilesPro uses your device's location in the background to detect when a drive starts and ends automatically. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device Settings, but automatic trip detection will stop working and you will need to log trips manually.
  

3. How addresses are resolved

We convert GPS coordinates into human-readable addresses (e.g. "123 Main St") using OpenStreetMap Nominatim, a free geocoding service operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation. This means your GPS coordinates are sent to Nominatim's servers to resolve the address. No account or API key is required. See OSM Foundation's privacy policy.

We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising.

5. Where your data is stored

Trip data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. A copy is synced to Google Firebase Firestore (data centres in the United States and Europe). Crash reports and analytics are processed by Google on servers in the United States.

6. How long we keep your data

Your trip data is kept for as long as you have an account. You can delete individual trips or all your data at any time from within the app. When you delete your account, all data is deleted from our servers within 30 days.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:

Access — request a copy of your data
Correction — correct inaccurate data
Deletion — delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
Portability — export your data (use the CSV export in the app)
Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
Restriction — restrict how we process your data

EU and UK residents have these rights under GDPR. California residents have rights under CCPA. To exercise any right, contact us at hbh@tekbh.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

MilesPro is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by sending a notification within the app. Continued use of MilesPro after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
