Terms of Service

The short version (plain language). MilesPro is a software tool, not a tax adviser. It records trips and produces estimates and reports to help with your own record-keeping. We guarantee nothing — not that every trip is captured, not that distances or amounts are exact, not that rates are current, and not any tax, reimbursement, or audit outcome. Like all software, the App can contain bugs and can be affected by your device, its settings, and conditions outside our control. You are responsible for reviewing your data and verifying everything with your tax authority or a qualified professional before relying on it. Use of the App is at your own risk. The full legal detail is below and prevails over this summary; mandatory consumer rights in your country remain unaffected.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using MilesPro ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and TEKBH, Switzerland ("we", "us").

2. What MilesPro does

MilesPro automatically tracks your vehicle trips using GPS, calculates mileage deductions based on the applicable tax authority's standard rates, and generates compliance-ready reports (PDF and CSV) for tax filing or reimbursement purposes.

Not tax advice. MilesPro is a record-keeping and calculation tool. The mileage rates used are based on publicly available tax authority guidelines (IRS, HMRC, CRA, etc.), but we make no representation that any report generated is complete, accurate, or suitable for your specific tax situation. Always consult a qualified accountant or tax adviser before filing. TEKBH accepts no liability for taxes owed, penalties, or audit outcomes.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use MilesPro. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Free tier and Pro subscription

MilesPro offers a free tier and a Pro subscription ("MilesPro Pro").

Free tier — limited to a certain number of automatically tracked drives per month (displayed in the app). Manual trip entry and basic features remain available.
MilesPro Pro — unlimited auto-tracking, PDF and CSV export, unlimited vehicles, and priority features. Billed monthly or annually as shown in the app at the time of purchase.
Free trial — we may offer a free trial period for Pro. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the applicable subscription price.
Billing — subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancellation — cancel anytime through your device's subscription settings. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods except as required by law or at our discretion.
Price changes — we will give reasonable notice of price changes. Continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

5. Your data and account

You own your trip data. You can export it as CSV at any time and delete it from within the app. We process your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You may not share your account with others or use the App to track vehicles or drives you do not have permission to monitor.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use MilesPro to generate false mileage records for fraudulent tax claims
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
Track another person's location without their knowledge and consent

We reserve the right to terminate your account if you breach these Terms.

7. Accuracy of mileage rates

Mileage rates are updated periodically to reflect tax authority guidelines. We cannot guarantee that rates are current at all times. Always verify rates with the relevant tax authority before filing. Current rates displayed in the App are for guidance only.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any loss caused by service interruptions.

9. Intellectual property

MilesPro, its logo, design, and software are owned by TEKBH and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks or brand assets.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or that GPS tracking will be accurate in all environments.

Software defects. Like all software, the App may contain bugs, errors, or defects. These may affect any function of the App, including trip detection, distance measurement, classification, rate calculations, data synchronisation, and report generation. We work to identify and fix defects promptly, but we do not warrant that the App is or will be free of them, and — to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law — we accept no liability for any loss arising from a bug, error, or defect, including inaccurate or incomplete records, calculations, or reports. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to stop using it; where required by law, statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

GPS and trip detection accuracy. GPS accuracy varies by device hardware, operating system version, and environmental conditions including tunnels, parking structures, urban canyons, and areas with poor satellite signal. Trips may be missed, started late, ended early, or recorded with inaccurate distances due to factors outside our control, including but not limited to device battery saver settings, OS-level location restrictions, or background process termination. You are solely responsible for reviewing your trip log for completeness and accuracy before using it for tax filing, reimbursement, or any other purpose. MilesPro is a logging aid, not a guarantee of a complete or accurate mileage record.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TEKBH's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Switzerland. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also have rights under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
